Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A travel opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to provide coverage at a state high-security psychiatric hospital pharmacy in Missouri. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy operations within a separate building outside the secure perimeter, with limited to no direct patient contact expected.

Location: New Bloomfield, MO
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Pharmacy closed on all Missouri state holidays
  • No weekend or on-call coverage required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pharmacist checks for technician-prepared medication packs flagged by InspectRx, including repackaging and bag corrections
  • Perform barcode scanning verification on filled medications
  • Limited order verification duties; behavioral health experience is not necessary
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff including director of pharmacy, clinical managers, residents, and informatics pharmacists for support and troubleshooting
  • Participate in approximately three days of pre-assignment training on Oracle/Cerner order entry system and Parata ATP2 Packager automation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Missouri pharmacist license required
  • Local candidates preferred due to training and coverage requirements
  • No prior experience with Oracle/Cerner or Parata ATP2 required; comprehensive training provided
  • Comfortable working in a pharmacy environment attached to a psychiatric hospital without direct patient interaction
  • Ability to work independently and verify technician-prepared medications with high attention to detail

Dress Code: Business casual or scrubs of any color

This position offers practical travel pharmacy experience within a state psychiatric facility, providing essential pharmacist support to facility operations. The assignment is expected to begin in early September and continue until a permanent pharmacist is hired.
