Certified Nursing Assistant in New Britain, CT

Minimum 1+ years Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience and CNA certificate required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant is needed to support a medically fragile student in an academic setting for the upcoming school year. The role is dedicated to providing essential care and advocacy, working closely with educators and medical professionals to create a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 7:15 AM – 2:30 PM
• August 27th to June 11th

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must possess a current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) credential
• Previous CNA experience is highly preferred
• Comfortable supporting hygiene and feeding needs for a single student
• Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and dignity in personal care
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and families
• Preference for female candidates to meet the student’s specific needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support throughout the school day for a medically fragile student
• Assist with hygiene, toileting, and feeding requirements as directed
• Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment at all times
• Collaborate with school nurses, therapists, and educators to follow the student’s care plan
• Monitor, document, and report changes in the student’s condition to appropriate staff
• Support inclusion in classroom activities where possible
