Job Description

A unique opportunity awaits a Physical Therapist looking to make a transformative impact in a school-based setting. This full-time contract role spans from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, dedicated to the Center Base Program, serving students ranging from kindergarten to age 26 with moderate to severe disabilities. The role offers an enriching environment in which specialized expertise and compassion are both highly valued.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active and valid Michigan Physical Therapy license (candidates must submit a screenshot of licensure at the time of applying)
  • Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist in a school setting
  • Deep understanding of therapy needs related to moderate to severe disabilities in youth and young adults
  • Ability to independently manage caseload and therapy interventions without assistance from a PTA
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, caregivers, and other professionals

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to students in the Center Base Program
  • Evaluate motor skills and develop individualized education program (IEP) goals for each student
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in IEP meetings
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and progress according to school and state standards
  • Foster a supportive and adaptive learning environment onsite
