Physical Therapist - School Setting in Clinton Township, MI
Job Description

This full-time role provides an exciting chance to work within a supportive, center-based program serving students from kindergarten through age 26 with moderate to severe disabilities. You'll make a meaningful difference by helping students achieve their physical therapy goals and improving their access to education.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Prior experience working in schools, with familiarity addressing a range of disabilities
- Comfort working onsite in a collaborative environment
- Ability to effectively manage a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week during the school year
- Experience with K-26 populations, preferably in a center-based program
- Strong communication and adaptability skills
- PTA experience is not applicable for this role
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide documentation and progress reports consistent with school and district requirements
- Offer coaching and consultation for staff and families to maximize student participation
- Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for students with diverse abilities
This contract position runs from August 24, 2026 through June 10, 2027, offering the stability of a full academic year placement. The role is onsite only and provides an enriching, impactful professional setting.
