Job Description

Play an essential role supporting students’ communication and academic growth by providing speech-language pathology services in a vibrant school setting near the California coast. With the opportunity to work as a licensed SLP-CCC, Clinical Fellow (CFY), or qualified school-based SLP, you'll help foster positive educational experiences for students with diverse language, speech, and communication needs.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CFY)
  • California state licensure (or eligibility) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Previous experience in K-12 school settings is desired but not required
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Passion for helping children achieve their educational and communicative goals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen, assess, and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
  • Provide direct therapy services individually or in small groups, adapting to a variety of learning styles
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support integrated student services
  • Maintain accurate and timely student records in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and professional development sessions to stay current with best practices
