Job Description

Step into a dynamic opportunity to make a difference in early childhood education providing direct therapy services to PreK and kindergarten students for a leave coverage assignment. This contract role, available September 9th through November 30th, offers a flexible schedule with options for three full days per week between 7:30am and 2:20pm, or half-day options tailored to your availability. The school environment is supportive, with another Speech-Language Pathologist managing IEPs and evaluations, enabling you to focus on delivering impactful therapy services.

What you’ll bring:

  • Active Ohio SLP licensure and ODE credentials
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
  • Experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare SLP settings
  • Comfort and enthusiasm in working with young students (PreK-Kindergarten)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to fostering student growth and engagement

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to approximately 15 PreK and 6 kindergarten students
  • Consult and coordinate with teaching staff and the school's established SLP
  • Develop and implement therapy plans targeting speech-language objectives
  • Track student progress and collaborate on student-centered strategies
  • Navigate between two nearby buildings (located just across the street from each other) as needed for service delivery

You’ll enjoy a rewarding contract assignment with competitive weekly pay and the flexibility to tailor your schedule—choose the days that work best or split your time into half days. This is a fantastic opportunity to focus your expertise solely on therapy, while evaluations and IEPs are managed by an on-site colleague.

Ready to make an impact in a nurturing, collaborative school environment this fall? Apply today to bring your SLP expertise to students who benefit from your care and skill!
