Two counselor positions are available, offering a dynamic opportunity to engage with students in a high school setting and guide them toward their educational and personal goals. The assignment begins August 31, 2026, and continues through June 4, 2027, with a full-time commitment.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan education certificate with School Counselor Endorsement (please include your license and certifications with your application)
• Prior experience working with high school populations preferred
• Strong knowledge of academic advising and counseling best practices
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to support students through academic planning, crisis intervention, and post-secondary transitions

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one and group academic counseling for high school students
• Assist with course selection, scheduling, and post-secondary planning
• Address student concerns regarding academics, behavior, or social-emotional well-being
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor student plans
• Participate in professional development and contribute to a supportive campus climate
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies and legal requirements
