Make a direct impact on students’ learning in a vibrant dual-language environment as a Middle School English Language Arts Teacher. This contract position offers the opportunity to guide and inspire bilingual learners in a supportive setting near Chicago, IL. You’ll bring your expertise in English Language Arts and your passion for working with diverse classrooms to help students succeed both academically and linguistically.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Valid Professional Educator License with Middle School English Language Arts endorsement (required)
  • Bilingual/ESL Endorsement in Spanish (required)
  • Proven teaching abilities with middle school populations
  • Background in bilingual or dual-language curriculum delivery
  • Committed to fostering an inclusive, engaging learning environment

Responsibilities:

  • Lead ELA instruction in a dynamic, dual-language classroom
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet state standards and incorporate culturally relevant content
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of bilingual learners, promoting language development alongside academic growth
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to support whole-child learning
  • Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and communicate effectively with families
  • Cultivate a positive and respectful classroom culture where all students can thrive
