Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)! Multiple contract opportunities are available to make a real difference in students’ lives across Central New York, with both full-time and part-time schedules. Positions are open to experienced SLPs with CCCs as well as Clinical Fellows (CFs)—onsite supervision is provided to support your growth and development.

Current openings include two full-time SLP positions in Onondaga County, working closely within 12:1:3 classrooms for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and severe multiple disabilities. There’s also a flexible part-time opportunity available in Cortland County, supporting an 8:1:1 program focused on students requiring behavior support. Both environments offer the chance to work collaboratively with educators and multidisciplinary teams to address complex communication needs, develop intervention plans, and celebrate milestones with your students.

Key qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current or eligible state licensure as an SLP (Supervision provided for Clinical Fellows)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but not required for CFs
  • Experience or interest in working with children with ASD, multiple disabilities, or significant behavioral needs is highly valued
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy to students in group and individual settings
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, psychologists, and families to support student IEP goals
  • Track progress, adapt interventions, and document services according to school guidelines
  • Facilitate positive communication for students with developmental and behavioral challenges
