Make an impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for a contract assignment in New York’s Southern Tier. This rewarding opportunity focuses on working with grades 11-12 in an Education setting for a period of 6-8 weeks. The role is entirely in-person and will immerse you in a supportive school environment, helping students succeed every day.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current and active New York Special Education Teacher license, with all necessary endorsements/certifications
  • Proven experience working with high school students with emotional or behavioral needs, ideally within a similar setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with students, parents, and school teams
  • Energetic, flexible, and adaptive teaching style
  • Available to work on-site at the Wildwood location starting September 8, through late October (35 hours/week)
  • Ability to provide a blinded resume for consideration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized instruction for students in grades 11-12, promoting academic and personal growth
  • Adapt lessons and strategies to meet varying learning needs
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary staff to ensure inclusive support and student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings, documentation, and progress communication with all stakeholders
  • Foster a positive learning environment focused on trust, respect, and achievement
