Special Education Teacher - Bronx, NY

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting early learners in a Readiness Program designed for Pre-Kindergarten students. This full-time contract position, commencing in September 2026 and running through June 2027, invites dedicated Special Education professionals to foster growth and provide individualized instruction to young children as they begin their educational journeys.

Essential Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years' experience as a Special Education Teacher, with preference for experience at the Pre-K level
• Valid New York State Certification in Special Education
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and an ability to individualize instruction based on student needs
• Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized lesson plans tailored to Pre-K students in a readiness classroom setting
• Observe and assess student progress, adjusting instruction to maximize each child’s success
• Work closely with support staff and parents to ensure consistent communication and a cohesive instructional approach
• Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes social and emotional growth alongside academic skills
• Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings, consistently advocating for each child's unique needs
