Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity where you’ll make a tangible difference in the lives of students while furthering your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist. As an SLP, you’ll have the chance to support diverse learners at both secondary and elementary levels through a contract position spanning the 2026-2027 academic year.

You’ll be based primarily at Cambridge-South Dorchester High School and Dorchester Career & Technology Center, with a designated day each week at Maple Elementary School. This dynamic schedule allows you to engage with students at varying stages of their learning journey, providing individualized therapy and fostering communication skills that will impact their academic and personal growth.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathology license (required)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Relevant experience providing services in school-based settings preferred
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to drive results through creative therapy approaches

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with speech-language disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
  • Maintain thorough documentation, progress reports, and compliance with school district standards
  • Contribute to inclusive learning environments across high school, career center, and elementary settings

This is a full-time, 37.5-hour-per-week contract position, commencing August 24th, 2026 and concluding June 10th, 2027. You’ll enjoy the unique experience of working within a vibrant district, influencing educational outcomes, and expanding your professional network.
