Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity serving as a dedicated Registered Nurse in a school setting, providing vital 1:1 care for a medically fragile student. Located near Griffin, GA, this role offers you the chance to make a meaningful difference while working within a supportive educational environment. The position is set to begin as soon as possible and continues through May 22, 2026, with full-time hours up to 37.5 per week, though student absences may result in occasional fluctuations to your weekly schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate, specialized nursing care to a student with spina bifida, hydrocephalus, a head shunt, and complex orthopedic and medical needs.
• Manage regular catheter changes (every three hours), tube feedings, oxygen therapy, and monitor for orthopedic complications.
• Ensure the student’s safety during transfer and mobility, including safe lifting practices.
• Work collaboratively with school staff and communicate effectively with families and healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of all procedures, assessments, and interventions.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Current, active Georgia RN license (required).
• Prior nursing experience in school or pediatric settings strongly preferred.
• Comfortable and competent working with medically fragile, wheelchair-bound students.
• Expertise with feeding tubes, oxygen therapy, and lift/transfer procedures.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and attentive in an educational environment.
• Willingness and ability to attend a face-to-face interview—required for consideration.
