Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students with diverse learning needs for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Openings are available for dedicated special education professionals across elementary, middle, and high school levels, as well as alternative education programs focusing on life skills, autism, and behavioral support.

This opportunity offers 21 special education classrooms, each tailored to provide specialized instruction and care. Roles span all grade levels and include positions in severe behavior programs for those passionate about transformative, high-impact teaching models. Placement options range from early childhood through secondary education, ensuring a fit for various skillsets and career aspirations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Kansas teaching license with appropriate endorsements for your preferred grade level (required at time of application)
  • Experience or strong interest in life skills, autism support, or behavior management settings
  • Previous work in K-12 special education, especially within classroom or alternative programs, is highly valued
  • Strong collaborative, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to a full-time, school year contract (August 2026–May 2027)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students’ IEPs
  • Foster supportive learning environments focused on academic, social, and behavioral growth
