Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Kansas teaching license with an endorsement in elementary education or High Incidence Special Education
- Experience or coursework related to special education preferred
- Passion for working with elementary-aged students with learning or behavioral challenges
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families
- Organizational skills and adaptability in a resource room setting
- Dedication to inclusive practices and student-centered instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students on your caseload
- Deliver specialized instruction and interventions to meet academic, social, and behavioral goals
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to accommodate a range of learning styles and abilities
- Partner with general education staff to support inclusion and accommodation in classroom settings
- Communicate regularly with families to share student progress and collaborate on educational strategies
- Maintain thorough documentation to support compliance and program evaluation
