Desired Qualifications and Experience
- Valid Kansas teaching license with an endorsement in Elementary Education or High Incidence Special Education
- Experience or strong interest in working with students who have learning disabilities, behavioral needs, or mild/moderate disabilities
- Ability to tailor instructional practices to students’ individual education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with teachers, families, and support staff
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to classroom management
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct instruction, intervention, and support to elementary students in a resource classroom setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to each student’s strengths and needs
- Track student progress and document outcomes to inform future strategies
