Step into a dynamic school-based role supporting secondary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on middle and high schoolers while collaborating with a dedicated educational team. Enjoy a consistent weekly schedule with the option for full-time or part-time hours and potential flexibility on campus assignments.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid SLPA professional license required.
  • Prior experience in a school setting, particularly with secondary (middle/high school) populations, strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with AAC devices in educational environments; direct experience is a plus.
  • Must complete state fingerprinting/background check as part of credentialing.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Adaptability and willingness to float between up to two school sites if needed.
  • Please indicate if you have previously worked within the district.
  • Candidates who have been terminated from a school district will not be eligible due to hiring affidavit requirements.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language support services to an assigned caseload averaging 80–90 secondary-age students.
  • Implement therapy activities and interventions as directed by a supervising SLP.
  • Support IEP goals and accurately document student progress and activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices with students as appropriate.
