Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Portsmouth, Virginia

Onsite and full-time, this position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year. Desired Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active or eligible state licensure as an SLP
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong CFY candidates considered
• Experience—or strong clinical placements—with pediatric or school-age populations
• Proficiency in developing IEPs and implementing appropriate interventions
• Comfort working collaboratively with educators, support staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough speech and language assessments
• Develop individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
• Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy to students on caseload
• Participate in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary meetings
• Maintain timely records, progress notes, and documentation
• Communicate regularly with teachers and families regarding student progress
• Provide consultative support to school staff
• Support students in both individual and group settings
