School Psychologist - Cranston, Rhode Island

Make a difference in the lives of middle school students by providing your expertise in school psychology in a supportive, contract-based environment. This opportunity begins August 24, 2026 and runs through June 17, 2027, offering a chance to contribute meaningfully to students’ academic and emotional development for the full school year.

As part of your daily routine, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to promote student success and well-being. With a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 32.5 hours per week, this position offers valuable stability while working with a dynamic age group.

Qualifications:

• Valid RIDE certification as a School Psychologist (required)
• Proven experience in school-based psychological assessment and intervention
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, faculty, and families
• Ability to adapt services to meet diverse student needs
• Commitment to ethical practice and ongoing professional development

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations
• Interpret assessment data for educational planning
• Develop and participate in IEP meetings
• Counsel students individually and in groups to address behavioral, academic, and social needs
• Consult with teachers and staff to develop effective behavioral and instructional strategies
• Maintain thorough, confidential records and documentation
