Job Description
Step into a vital role supporting students' development as a School Psychologist in a dynamic educational setting. This contract opportunity, located in the greater Warren, MI area, focuses on providing expert psychological support to elementary or middle school students across multiple school buildings. With a flexible schedule of 20-30 onsite hours per week, you’ll make a meaningful impact while working alongside a welcoming and collaborative team.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or related field
- Active state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Expertise in administering psychological assessments and evaluations
- Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive psychological services including assessment, crisis intervention, and behavioral consultation for students
- Conduct evaluations to identify student strengths and areas for growth, recommending appropriate interventions
- Support teachers and staff in developing strategies to improve student learning and social-emotional well-being
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, offering expertise to support tailored educational plans
- Collaborate with families and external stakeholders to promote positive educational outcomes
- Travel between assigned elementary (three buildings) or middle school (two buildings) locations within the district as needed
