This part-time opportunity focuses on guiding 7th and 8th graders (ages 12–13) across 1st to 3rd periods, providing vital instruction to a caseload of 14–16 students. You’ll benefit from a set morning schedule—8:00 AM to 11:00 AM (except Wednesdays, 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM)—allowing you to balance your professional and personal life with ease.

What we’re looking for:

• Active California mild/moderate credential in Special Education (required)
• Experience teaching middle school students, preferably in special education settings
• Passion for creating inclusive, engaging learning environments
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility to adapt instruction for diverse learners

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Design and deliver tailored instructional interventions for middle school students with diverse learning needs
• Implement IEPs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Track and report student progress regularly
• Foster a supportive, positive classroom environment that encourages student growth and engagement
• Communicate proactively with families and staff to ensure alignment and support for each student
