Job Description
We're hiring CNC Machinists for our precision machining and prototyping company.
We machine precision components used in industries ranging from defense to domestic energy, automotive, and heavy industrial processing. These parts that go into systems as diverse as wind turbines and steel mill infrastructure. The work is high-mix, low-volume: short runs, new prints, and prototyping and fabrication under the same roof.
You'll run 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling centers, standard and Swiss-style lathes, or lathes with live tooling. Some of our machinists specialize on one side of the shop and some run everything. We're interested in working with machinists ranging from recent technical school graduates to seasoned industry veterans.
Why Join Us- Setup to First Articles: Run your job end to end.
- Diverse Work: High-mix, low-volume work means new setups, not just production.
- Cross-Training: Move onto new precision machines as you prove out on current ones.
- Up to $36 / hr (depending on experience)
- Typically M - F schedules
- Relocation assistance available
Requirements
Responsibilities- Setups: Perform your own setups, including fixturing, tooling, and offsets.
- Blueprints: Read drawings and hold the tolerances they call out.
- G-Code: Read programs at the control to verify tooling and moves.
- Prototypes: Machine one-off and low-volume parts from new prints.
- First Articles: Inspect first parts before releasing the run.
- In-Process Checks: Measure dimensions with micrometers, calipers, and indicators.
- Tooling: Select, install, and replace cutting tools for each job.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose finish, size, and tool-life problems at the machine.
