TVI - Methuen, MA

Make a difference in the lives of students by providing essential educational support as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired. This contract position serves a dedicated school community and offers the opportunity to work onsite with a collaborative, supportive team. Flexible full-time or part-time options are available for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active VI Teaching License and valid MA Department of Education License
• Successful completion of Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTELs)
• Previous experience working with visually impaired students in an educational setting is highly valued
• Strong communication, advocacy, and collaborative skills
• Passion for fostering accessibility and individualized instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement instructional strategies tailored to the needs of students with visual impairments
• Consult with general education teachers, staff, and families to ensure equitable access to curriculum and learning materials
• Adapt and modify classroom resources and teaching tools to support visual access
• Monitor student progress and document outcomes in accordance with IEP objectives
• Serve as an advocate for accessibility, independence, and inclusion within the school community
