Make a positive impact supporting students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in a welcoming educational environment close to Lawrence, MA. This contract opportunity is set to run from September 1, 2026, through June 14, 2027, and offers both full-time and part-time onsite options. Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Valid Massachusetts Department of Education (DOE) Teacher License for Visually Impaired
  • Successful completion of MTELs (Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure)
  • Prior experience working with visually impaired students in school settings strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to develop and adapt individualized educational plans for students with visual impairments
  • Committed to inclusive practices and fostering student independence

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct instruction and support services to students with visual impairments
  • Collaborate with general and special education staff to modify curriculum and classroom materials
  • Conduct assessments and participate in IEP development and meetings
  • Advise and coach faculty on strategies and modifications for visually impaired students
  • Engage families as partners in the student’s educational journey
  • Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and services rendered
