Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and development in the school setting near Morrisonville, NY. This part-time role offers a focused caseload, providing you the opportunity to deliver meaningful occupational therapy services to one dedicated student. You’ll offer expert OT intervention and collaborate with educational staff to help the student reach academic and functional goals.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous school-based OT experience preferred
  • Skilled in creating and implementing individualized therapy plans
  • Excellent communication abilities for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families
  • Commitment to fostering student independence and participation in school activities

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide three 45-minute occupational therapy sessions per week to one student, tailoring support to their specific needs
  • Develop and monitor individualized education plan (IEP) goals in alignment with school requirements
  • Document progress, maintain detailed records, and share updates with teachers and parents as needed
  • Collaborate closely with classroom staff to ensure consistent strategies and supports throughout the student’s day
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering professional recommendations and adjustments as necessary
