Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapist license for New York State
- Experience providing physical therapy services in a school or pediatric setting
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to different student needs and educational environments
- Ability to work with students across K-12 grade levels
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for students
- Collaborating with educators, therapists, and families to support student goals
- Implementing therapy interventions in group and individual settings
- Documenting progress and preparing necessary reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing professional input
- Educating staff and caregivers about best practices for student mobility and safety in school
