This full-time, two-month leave position focuses on providing physical therapy services to a diverse K-12 student caseload. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in New York State
  • Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations is highly valued
  • Strong collaboration skills to effectively work with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and educators
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Adaptability and comfort managing a dynamic caseload of students in grades K-12

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct physical therapy interventions tailored to students’ individual needs, fostering improved mobility and participation in school activities
  • Complete timely evaluations and develop treatment plans consistent with educational goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input and recommending strategies for student success
  • Maintain thorough records and progress notes in accordance with state and district requirements
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy objectives into the classroom environment
  • Provide guidance and education to families regarding supportive strategies at home
