Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across K-12 classrooms in Monroe County from late August 2026 through mid-June 2027. This full-time position will serve the eastern region and requires 35 hours each week onsite, helping students reach their potential through quality occupational therapy interventions.

Ideal candidates are Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) or Occupational Therapists (OTs) who bring experience in school settings and are passionate about working with students of varying abilities. You’ll play a critical role in collaborating with teachers and staff to facilitate student progress and create supportive educational environments.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current, active Michigan Occupational Therapy or COTA licensure required
  • Prior experience in school-based settings essential
  • Strong comfort level working with students who have disabilities
  • Familiarity with IEP procedures, progress monitoring, and school documentation
  • Capable of working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Must be able to provide proof of licensure via Michigan’s public license verification portal

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions to a diverse K-12 caseload
  • Conduct assessments and create data-driven therapy goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student growth
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student progress
  • Attend and actively contribute to IEP meetings when needed
