English Language Arts General Education Teacher | Vacherie, Louisiana

Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Teaching License/Certification with required endorsements
• Classroom experience in general education and/or English Language Arts
• Familiarity with ESL or ELA curriculum and instructional strategies
• Demonstrated ability to create an encouraging and culturally responsive classroom
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver effective, engaging lesson plans tailored to English Learners’ needs
• Reinforce the four key language domains: reading, writing, listening, and speaking
• Foster a classroom climate where all students feel included and empowered
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies to optimize outcomes
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to school policies and procedures

This contract position is full-time at 37.5 hours per week and requires onsite presence throughout the assignment. Be prepared for a potential start as soon as the role is finalized.
