Enhance the educational experience for preschool students in a vibrant school setting by applying your expertise in psychology and assessment! This contract position, beginning mid-September and extending through January, offers an inviting opportunity for School Psychologists who are passionate about early childhood development. There's potential for the assignment to extend beyond January, making this a great way to make a significant impact while enjoying professional flexibility.

You’ll work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, collaborating with educators and families to support the youngest learners as they navigate personal, academic, and social challenges. Your skills and insights will play an essential role in identifying and addressing student needs, enabling each child to thrive in their earliest years of schooling.

Ideal Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid license/certification as a School Psychologist in California
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills
  • Ability to conduct evaluations and interpret results to guide educators and parents
  • Collaborative, compassionate, and creative approach to problem-solving

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for preschool students
  • Provide direct support services such as counseling and behavioral interventions
  • Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure student well-being and success
  • Maintain detailed and timely records in accordance with school and legal guidelines
