Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist (OT) working with K-12 learners from August 31, 2026, to June 18, 2027. This contract position specializes in supporting a diverse group of students in the eastern region of Monroe County, across both Monroe and Mason Public Schools. With a schedule of 35 hours per week, you’ll play a vital role in collaborating with educators and empowering students with disabilities to succeed in their academic and daily activities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan OT or COTA license is required; submit your license verification along with your application.
  • Demonstrated school-based experience in occupational therapy.
  • Proficiency and compassion in working with K-12 students, including those with a variety of disabilities.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide onsite support across Monroe County.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to a caseload of K-12 students according to IEP goals, focusing on enhancing educational participation.
  • Assess students’ functional abilities, develop treatment plans, and maintain detailed documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student progress and generalization of skills.
  • Adapt interventions to meet the individual needs of each student in a dynamic, multi-school setting.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
