Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ communication growth in a vibrant elementary school setting. This contract opportunity is designed for passionate Speech-Language Pathologists seeking professional impact and skill-building alongside young learners. You’ll be instrumental in enhancing students’ educational experiences by fostering speech, language, and communication abilities that set the foundation for lasting academic success.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active North Carolina SLP License required
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CF) year welcome
  • Previous experience in school settings highly recommended
  • Proficient in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Dedication to driving positive student outcomes

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy to elementary students onsite
  • Evaluate student communication strengths and challenges using evidence-based assessments
  • Develop and update IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records as required by state and district guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and specialists to integrate communication strategies into the classroom
  • Provide support within a diverse elementary school community, adapting interventions as needed
