CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant - West Hartford, Connecticut

Minimum 1+ years Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience and CNA certificate required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A skilled Certified Nursing Assistant is needed to work 1:1 with a medically fragile student in an educational setting for the upcoming school year. This contract assignment will run from August 27th through June 11th, supporting a student with daily hygiene and feeding needs. No bus riding is involved.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 7:15 am – 2:30 pm

Qualifications:

• Active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Nurse Assistant) certification required
• Recent experience providing hands-on care, ideally in settings supporting children or individuals with complex medical needs
• Ability to confidently assist with hygiene, feeding, and daily activities in a professional, compassionate manner
• Comfortable communicating and collaborating with educational and healthcare staff
• Preferably female, as per the student's needs

Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a medically fragile student throughout the school day
• Assist with all personal hygiene requirements, including toileting and bathing, as needed
• Support feeding, monitor intake, and maintain cleanliness during meals or snacks
• Implement and follow individualized care plans under school and nursing guidance
• Ensure the student’s comfort, safety, and dignity at all times
• Document care and communicate with families and school health professionals as required
