Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting preschool-aged children in a dynamic educational setting near San Jose, CA. This contract position for a dedicated School Psychologist begins mid-September and runs through January, with potential for extension. With a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping early educational experiences.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in California
  • Experience or strong interest in working with preschool-aged students
  • In-depth knowledge of special education evaluation methods, intervention strategies, and federal/state regulations
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to foster inclusive, supportive environments for young learners and their families

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results to guide individualized education planning
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, administrators, and families
  • Deliver both direct and consultative support to meet students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
  • Provide evidence-based interventions and strategies that support positive outcomes
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation for compliance with educational guidelines
