CAREGIVER/DSP

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential daily support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your goal is to help our clients build independence, integrate into the community, and live fulfilling lives.

Job Overview

• Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP)
• Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
• Location: San Dimas, CA and Claremont, CA
• Pay Range: $19.00 per hour

Available Shifts

• Friday – Monday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Morning)
• Friday – Monday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Afternoon/Evening)
• Friday – Monday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Overnight)
• Tuesday – Saturday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Afternoon/Evening) [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Daily Living Support: Assist clients with personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Skill Development: Teach and reinforce independent life skills, including budgeting, cooking, and household chores.
• Community Integration: Accompany and transport clients to social events, recreational activities, and medical appointments.
• Health & Safety: Monitor overall health, safety, and well-being.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely daily logs regarding client behaviors, goal progress, and medical charts.

Position Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Age: Must be 18 years of age or older (21+ if driving company vehicles).
• Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications through American Heart Association, or willingness to obtain them during onboarding.
• Background Check: Ability to pass a mandatory criminal background check through Livescan fingerprinting.
• Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
