CAREGIVER/DSP

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/DSP to provide essential support and companionship to individuals in need. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the care and attention necessary for their well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical documentation and records, along with experience in various medical settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility support.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records for each client.
• Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Administer medication as prescribed and ensure compliance with medical directives.
• Offer companionship through engaging conversations and activities.
• Assist with catheter care and other medical-surgical needs as required.
• Support clients with disabilities by promoting independence and dignity.
• Provide hospice care when necessary, ensuring comfort during end-of-life stages.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical documentation practices and maintaining medical records.
• Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols and urgent care procedures is a plus.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in hospice care settings is desirable.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and families.
• Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and respect towards clients at all times.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid and MANDT is an advantage.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
