Take on a rewarding contract assignment supporting students in school settings near Syracuse, NY. Immediate openings are available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) interested in working with diverse populations, including those with autism spectrum disorders and severe multiple disabilities. Opportunities exist in both Onondaga and Cortland County school settings, ensuring you find a position that fits your availability and interests. New graduates (CFs) are encouraged to apply—experienced onsite supervision and mentorship are provided.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CF)
  • Valid New York State SLP license or ability to obtain
  • Prior experience with students with ASD and severe/multiple disabilities is strongly valued, but not required
  • Compassion, adaptability, and patience in supporting students with diverse needs
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills

Role Highlights & Responsibilities:

  • Available full-time and part-time contract positions
  • Full-time: Two positions in Onondaga County, working within a 12:1:3 program focused on students with ASD and complex needs
  • Part-time: Opportunity in Cortland County, supporting an 8:1:1 program with a focus on behavioral support
  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to meet IEP goals
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (teachers, psychologists, support staff)
  • Provide direct intervention and consultative services, documenting progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families
