Step into a dynamic school environment this fall in the Rochester, NY region, supporting elementary students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This rewarding leave coverage is slated from September 8 through approximately November 20, with the potential to extend further. You'll play a vital role within elementary educational settings, focusing on articulation and fluency needs across education-specific classrooms.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous pediatric or elementary school-based SLP experience highly valued
  • Strong ability to assess, diagnose, and treat articulation and fluency disorders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students, primarily in educational classroom settings
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student success
  • Adapt interventions and therapeutic approaches to meet individual student needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school and state guidelines
