Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication needs as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a contract role near Port Hueneme, CA. Qualifications and Experience Sought:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active California SLP license (or eligibility upon hire)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
  • Experience or strong interest working in school settings
  • Solid understanding of IEP process and documenting progress toward goals
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments for students with diverse needs, both individually and within groups
  • Develop and implement therapy plans based on each student's IEP
  • Deliver direct speech-language services and track progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support holistic student growth
  • Maintain accurate therapy records and contribute actively to IEP meetings
  • Offer guidance and strategies to classroom staff to foster inclusive communication environments
