Special Education Teacher - Kenner, Louisiana

This contract position spans from early August 2026 to late May 2027, with a consistent 35-hour work week. Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana SPED Educator Certificate required
• Prior experience in a Special Education teaching role highly desirable
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt to a variety of classroom environments and student needs
• Commitment to nurturing a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
• Provide differentiated instruction within an elementary setting
• Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and specialists to support student progress
• Monitor, document, and report on student achievement and advancements
• Partner with families, advocating for each child’s success
• Create a classroom that is safe, engaging, and supports diverse learning needs
