Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) - Glendale, CA

Work full-time, supporting K-8th grade students across several school sites in the beautiful Santa Monica and Malibu areas. You’ll collaborate with two other Adaptive Physical Education (APE) teachers, working together to design engaging and impactful programs.

Key Qualifications:

• Active California licensure for Adaptive Physical Education required
• Previous experience in a school-based setting (K-8 preferred)
• Reliable transportation for daily travel between sites
• Comfortable with district-mandated TB test and fingerprinting
• Strong adaptability and collaboration skills
• Credentialed APE teachers will be prioritized

Role Highlights:

• Deliver adaptive physical education services to a diverse K-8 student population
• Travel between schools in the Santa Monica and Malibu region
• Plan and implement lessons tailored to a variety of abilities and needs, collaborating closely with your APE colleagues
• Maintain organized documentation and progress reports for each student
• Serve as a resource and advocate for inclusive physical education within your assigned schools
• Engage in periodic virtual meetings and interviews (Zoom)
