Join a respected health system as an inpatient pharmacist serving a major public hospital in the Los Angeles County Department of Health System (LACDHS). This long-term contract opportunity focuses on delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care in a fast-paced inpatient hospital environment. Ideal candidates are new PGY1 residency graduates or pharmacists with about two years of recent inpatient experience. Some hospital experience as an intern will also be considered.

Location:

  • Glendale, CA (Hospital facility within the LACDHS network)

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts
  • Flexibility to work primarily 1st and 2nd shifts; occasional 3rd shift coverage may be required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and efficient inpatient medication dispensing and review
  • Collaborate with medical teams to optimize pharmacotherapy and ensure patient safety
  • Conduct clinical assessments and maintain compliance with hospital protocols
  • Participate in competency testing and ongoing professional development

Desired Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree with active licensure to practice pharmacy in California
  • PGY1 residency preferred, but candidates with relevant hospital inpatient experience considered
  • Familiarity with hospital inpatient pharmacy operations and compliance standards
  • Successful completion of competency exam required for onboarding
  • Ability to pass Livescan background check and meet all agency requirements
