Special Education Teacher in Glendale, AZ

Make an impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting young learners in a K-2 Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classroom. You'll be part of a committed team working Monday through Friday, 7:45am-3:15pm, starting as soon as possible.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid state certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain before start)
• Experience or strong interest working with children diagnosed with ASD, preferably in early elementary grades (K-2)
• Ability to design and implement differentiated instruction and behavioral strategies tailored to students’ individual needs
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with parents, fellow staff, and support personnel
• Positive, patient, and proactive approach to classroom management

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in the ASD classroom
• Employ evidence-based instructional techniques to foster academic, social, and emotional growth
• Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other educational staff
• Create a safe, supportive, and structured classroom environment conducive to learning
