Job Description

Make a real impact supporting student success as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a contract role serving elementary and intermediate students in a collaborative school environment. Multiple SLP opportunities are available near Portage, IN, ideal for professionals passionate about fostering communication growth in young learners. CCC certification is highly preferred, and traveling SLPs are encouraged to apply.

Highlights:

  • Three SLP positions available for the upcoming school year—help shape the journey for students across multiple campuses.
  • Flexible 7-hour workdays with a 30-minute luncheon break, making it easier to balance your professional and personal commitments.
  • Choose from settings such as Fegley Intermediate & Crisman Elementary (with a caseload around 100 students and ongoing SLA support discussions), or focus on younger learners in a developmental preschool and K–1st setting with a smaller caseload and some SLA support.
  • A third option allows you to split your expertise between primary and middle-grade students across conveniently located campuses.
  • This contract role is designed for SLPs who are committed to evidence-based practice, individualized student care, and open collaboration with educational teams.

Preferred background:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current CCC-SLP credential (no SLPA applicants).
  • School-based SLP experience highly valued, with the flexibility to adapt to various age groups and support staff.
  • Valid licensing for Indiana (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Previous experience with developmental, elementary, or middle school populations is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

What you can expect:

  • Work in a supportive school setting, collaborating closely with teachers, staff, and administrators.
  • Opportunity to discuss flexible scheduling to fit your lifestyle.
  • The chance to contribute meaningfully to students’ formative years.

If you’re ready to bring your expertise to a dynamic educational team and guide students toward greater success, we want to hear from you! Submit your application and showcase your passion for helping young learners thrive.
