Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting secondary students through vital communication services. You’ll have the chance to work primarily at one site (with the occasional need to float to a second), making a direct impact while enjoying consistency in your daily routine. Serving middle and high school students in a welcoming school environment, you’ll collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to create positive outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active SLPA license in the state (professional license required)
  • Recent experience in school-based settings with secondary age groups preferred
  • Familiarity with AAC devices is a significant plus
  • Flexibility to work full-time (37.5 hours/week) or part-time (around 30 hours/week)
  • Must complete state-specific fingerprinting and background check before starting
  • Adaptability to maintain a caseload of 80–90 students, adjusted per skill level
  • Strong record-keeping and communication skills
  • Please mention if you’ve previously worked for this district
  • You will be required to disclose any prior terminations from a school district (official affidavit required)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect speech-language support services to middle and high school students
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to implement each student’s IEP
  • Utilize AAC devices as needed to support diverse communication needs
  • Maintain detailed documentation, progress reports, and required logs
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, students, and families
  • Meet deadlines for assessments, progress reports, and credentialing
