Job Description
A rewarding opportunity awaits Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) passionate about supporting students’ communication and academic growth! This full-time contract role provides experience across a variety of educational settings, as you'll serve at multiple campuses, including two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school during the academic year. You will have a stable daily location, focusing on the assigned students at each campus—no traveling back and forth between schools mid-day.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLPA license required
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience is highly valued
- Comfortable working with diverse age groups (elementary, middle, high school)
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Timely completion of credentialing documents including fingerprints and drug screening
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide support to SLPs and implement direct therapy services outlined in student IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to facilitate student development and success
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy progress and attendance
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as appropriate
- Assist with the development of therapy materials and activities tailored to individual student needs
Position Details:
- Contract runs from September 1, 2026, through May 20, 2027
- Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week
- You’ll remain at one campus per day—no transitions required during school hours
