Registered Behavior Technician in Hazel Green, AL

Work runs throughout the academic year, with assignments beginning as soon as possible and extending through May 28, 2027. The position is 35 hours per week, aligning with school hours based on grade level. Please note: this opportunity is full-time only, and the school district will either interview or place candidates directly—flexibility is appreciated.

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of school-based RBT experience
• Active or inactive (not expired) RBT certification, valid and verifiable on the BACB registry
• Willingness to work the entire school calendar with no schedule modifications
• Reliable transportation
• Readiness to assist with toileting/bathroom needs if necessary
• Comfort supporting students who may require physical intervention
• Previous experience in data collection within a behavioral or classroom setting
• Ability to adapt to rapid placement changes and pending assignments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized behavioral interventions under district BCBA guidance
• Track, collect, and report behavioral and classroom data
• Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to foster student growth
• Ensure safety and positive student engagement at all times
• Assist with daily routines, including personal care tasks as needed
