Job Description

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity serving middle or high school students in the Houston area, providing speech-language pathology services within a highly regarded district setting. This full-time, on-site role offers consistent hours and the chance to work closely with students ranging from grades 6–8 or 10–12, depending on your professional preference.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Texas SLP licensure required; Florida SLP licensure also accepted
  • Experience working in school-based environments, particularly with middle or high school populations
  • Comfort performing the full range of SLP responsibilities (therapy, ARDs, testing), or interest in a supervision-only role
  • Willingness to complete required fingerprinting, unless already on file
  • Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50–60 students
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing direct speech-language services to students, implementing therapy plans tailored to individual needs
  • Conducting assessments, writing reports, and participating in ARD/IEP meetings as applicable
  • Maintaining thorough and timely documentation in compliance with district policies and professional standards
  • Supervising SLPA team members if desired, supporting a collaborative and educationally focused environment
  • Adhering to school and district credentialing procedures, including timely fingerprint clearance
  • Assignments are considerate of your ZIP code to minimize commute times
