Educational Diagnostician Special Education Teacher in Cedar Hill, TX

You’ll join a supportive educational setting and play a key role in evaluating and supporting students’ learning needs for the 2026-2027 academic year. Each diagnostician will work onsite at their designated elementary school, providing focused care to a manageable caseload.

Qualifications:

• Active Texas Educational Diagnostician certification required
• Prior experience conducting educational evaluations, assessments, and eligibility determinations
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and paperwork
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, families, and students
• Ability to independently manage assessments, IEP meetings, and documentation
• Detail-oriented and able to adhere to district and state timelines
• Masters degree in Education, Special Education, or related field preferred

Responsibilities:

• Complete psycho-educational assessments and interpret results for elementary-aged students
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to determine appropriate interventions and supports
• Participate in ARD/IEP meetings, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations
• Provide professional recommendations to instructional and support staff
• Document all evaluations and maintain timely, accurate student records
• Serve as a valued resource for special education planning and programming
