A rewarding opportunity awaits skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistants seeking a full-time, contract role supporting elementary students. This assignment covers a maternity leave from mid-October to early February, providing direct service at the elementary level (TK-5). You’ll collaborate closely and receive supervision from an experienced SLP, ensuring a supportive work environment where your input and partnership are valued.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, active California SLPA license is required
  • A minimum of 3 months of recent SLPA experience in any setting
  • Comfortable working with elementary school caseloads (TK-5)
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for teaming with supervising SLP and educational staff
  • Bilingual Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required

Role Expectations:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to elementary students under the supervision of an SLP
  • Implement individualized therapy plans and document student progress
  • Support classroom teams and families with student communication needs
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP goals and progress reports
  • Communicate effectively with staff, families, and supervisors
